The Albert Nobbs movie stars Glenn Close as a woman living her life as a man in 19th century Ireland. This movie has earned a lot of talk from people all over the world and also from fans of Glenn Close. It is also worth noting that Glenn Close is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture in the Golden Globe for her performance in the movie. She has been fighting to bring this project that was based on a novella “The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs by George Moore in1927. Albert Nobbs is a woman who is living in the 19th century who has been working as a man to survive during this era. After thirty years of pretending to be a man, Nobbs (Close) is caught in a huge web that he has spun all these years. Janet McTeer portrays the role of Hubert Page, another woman who has been living as a man all these years. It is also revealed the Page (McTeer) is married to a Cathleen played by Bronagh Gallagher. The unlikely chance that the two meets within these extraordinary circumstance brings Albert Nobbs to dream of having his own business but first marrying another woman in the character of a maid name Helen Dawes played by Mia Wasikowska. They are also joined by other actors: Aaron Johnson, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Brendan Gleeson and so much more. The flow of this movie will surely bring a whole new perspective to the world’s view of women during these times.

The Hollywood Reporter is already commending Glenn Close on her notable performance in the film with the help of co-actor Janet McTeer. Although, they also noted that it may have mixed reviews from the audience because it is not a typical movie that would be accepted by the general viewers. The Guardian on the other hand is saying that Glenn Close might be a great rival for Meryl Streep for next year because of her performance in The Albert Nobbs movie.
