Detachment is a new movie that will be launched on the big screen on March 16th 2012. This drama film is about the life of a substitute teacher named Henry Barthes. Henry has a great talent when it comes to teaching and creating a connection with his students and colleagues. The only problem is Henry Barthes is denying this gift by shying away from the moment a bond is created. In the movie Detachment, Henry Barthes goes from school to school giving bits and pieces of his knowledge. It seems that he is willing to teach but leaves immediately to make sure that he does not create any attachment with the students or faculty members. One day this substitute teacher arrives at his next assignment. In this public school Henry finds something that starts to awaken inside him. His long time struggle to stay away from connections is brought to him all of a sudden. He is intrigued by a girl in his first period named Meredith, a fellow teacher named Ms. Madison and a girl who works the street named Erica. Henry even gave Erica a place to stay so that she can stay off of the streets. These three women are in the same struggle as Henry. They want to find something that is worth living for and something beautiful in the world. A new journey is now unveiling before Henry Barthes’ eyes and it is one that will change their lives forever.
