God Bless America is a drama/comedy film directed and written by Bobcat Goldthwait. According to an early review from Tom Meek: Murray and Barr have fun with the tart dialogue, and despite the flimsy premise and the derivativeness (Goldthwait lifts whole scenes of Taxi Driver), it might be Goldthwait’s best film to date.
There is certainly more to this film that meets the eye. There are other critics who are also anticipating this new film by Bobcat Goldthwait. Bobcat Goldthwait is known for winning the Festival Award at the Montréal Comedy Festival ‘Just for Laughs’ for the 2003 TV series Windy City Heat. His previous works include the movie: The World’s Greatest Dad. He is now back to bring God Bless America to movie fans in the country. Another critic seems to share Tom Meek’s enthusiasm when it comes to this upcoming film, according to Neil Miller: Darkly comedic, subversive, rage-filled and infinitely charming. I haven’t quite laughed this hard since Bobcat Goldthwait’s last movie, World’s Greatest Dad.
