Good Deeds is a new romantic comedy movie starring Tyler Perry. Tyler Perry is also the director and writer of Good Deeds. He is joined by Gabrielle Union and Thandie Newton in this new movie. They are also joined by other talented actors like: Rebecca Romijn, Eddie Cibrain, Neyo, and Brian White. Let’s take a look on what people can expect from this new movie: Good Deeds.
Wesley Deeds played by Tyler Perry is a successful and wealthy businessman. Wesley Deeds has always been a businessman who always does what’s expected of him. He has been there to assume control of his father’s company and even tolerates the misbehavior of his brother in the office. He is also on the road to marrying his beautiful yet restless fiancée, Natalie (played by Gabrielle Union) although an unexpected scenario jolts Deeds out his usually routines when he meets a beautiful single mom, Lindsey (Thandie Newton). Lindsey is a single mother who works as part of the cleaning crew in his office building. Lindsey seems to be down-on-her-luck when Deeds offers her a chance to help her get back on her feet. This chance and choice brings him to realize something aside the usual and comfort zone that he always had in his life. A single good deed is just what Wesley needs to find the courage to turn his life around and to get the life he’s always wanted.
Tyler Perry Studios is teaming up with Lionsgate to produce Good Deeds this February 24th 2012. Good Deeds is rated PG 13 which means that it has a little bit of violence sexual content, thematic material and language. Parental supervision is still recommended when the whole family wants to watch Good Deeds. Good Deeds is starting to earn a bit of buzz since Tyler Perry is starring and directing this film. Movie critics also have something to say when it comes to Tyler Perry and his movies: Tyler Perry is one of those multi-hyphenates that people either love or hate. Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, and his stock company of performers are big supporters; Spike Lee and many critics who claim some of his films promote negative racial stereotypes are on the opposite side of the fan club. Yet the prolific filmmaker, playwright, and TV entrepreneur never seems to have trouble attracting huge audiences.
Jen Yamato has a different take on Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds, here’s what she has to say: Say what you will about the films of Tyler Perry, at least he has an ethos. Good messages (well, the overt ones about living reasonable lives and personal responsibility) are what he’s about, and he doesn’t need to wear Madea’s signature muumuu in order to beat us over the head with them. For the latest dose of the master’s philosophizing I present the trailer for next February’s Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds — or, as we call it around these parts, The Perry.
The debate may go on but it will surely be over when Good Deeds finally hit the big screen on February 24th 2012.
