Meeting Evil is about to hit theaters this Friday, May 4th 2012. A mystery film that stars Oscar nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson and noted actor Luke Wilson. Meeting Evil will surely bring audiences through an emotional ride with an hour and half searching for answers on the question: What is evil? Meeting Evil is also categorized as a suspense film that will leave movie fanatics at the edge of their seats when watching this new film.
Luke Wilson plays the character of John Fleton in Meeting Evil. John Fleton (Wilson) is a family man who recently lost his job and is at the verge of depression over the trouble that is happening in their currently life. After being fired as a realtor, John meets Richie (Samuel L. Jackson) who needs some help with his car. With all that is going in John’s life, this meet with Richie turns his life into a deadly game. What he doesn’t know is Richie is a manipulative man who is about to bring more chaos in his life. He is sucked into a nightmare that will bring him to question everything in life, his purpose, behavior and what real evil is. These actors are also joined by Leslie Bibb as Joanie, Peyton List as Tammy, Muse Watson as Frank and Tracie Thorns as Latisha.
Meeting Evil is rated by audiences of Rotten Tomatoes at 62%, this means that their users are more than willing to watch this new film. On an early review from The Criticom, they touched on the performance of Samuel Jackson. Here is a quote from their site: Samuel L. Jackson gives us a very well-rounded interpretation as that sort of villains one would never want to come across in a corner. However, there is not one of his criminal movements that has not been already seen. Aside from this critic, Dusty Wallace also gave an opinion on the actors’ performances: Luke Wilson does an adequate job in the film as well. His character seems less difficult than Jackson’s, but still has moments of depth. He does occasionally make you wonder if John will fall into temptation and join in the evil doings of Richie. John’s wife Joanie is portrayed by Leslie Bibb whose main job is to be attractive. A job at which she excels.
Meeting Evil is directed by Chris Fischer, who also wrote the screenplay of the movie based on the novel of Thomas Berger. Meeting Evil is produced by Louisiana Entertainment Screen Services – L.E.S.S., Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA) and Stage 6 Films. This film is also going to be distributed by Magnet Releasing in the United States and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be the distributor of Meeting Evil in DVDs in Australia. The Motion Picture Association of America gave Meeting Evil an R rating based on the movies violent content and language.
