Before we talk about this exclusive red-band trailer for the upcoming comedy “Movie 43,” we have a few simple questions you’ll need to answer to find out if it’s right for you.
Are you easily offended? Does the sound of laughter make you nauseous, especially your own? Do you prefer your movie to have no major stars, as opposed to a mind-boggling amount of recognizable actors? Are you afraid of leprechauns?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we still have to recommend watching this red-band trailer for “Movie 43.” (Only if you’re 18 or older, of course.) Trust us.
“Movie 43,” as the trailer suggests, strings together several hilarious shorts and boasts a cast so star-studded you might confuse it for a Garry Marshall-directed holiday rom-com, but “Valentine’s Day,” this is not.
The segments range from Terrence Howard telling his basketball team that they don’t have to worry about overcoming adversity, to Richard Gere selling a hi-fi music player that looks exactly like a naked woman, and Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts as parents dedicated to giving their son the most realistic high school experience possible. Plus, Emma Stone shows up to talk to Kieran Culkin about some inappropriate things she did with a wizard.
But “Movie 43″ doesn’t just have big names filling out its cast. The list of directors includes Peter Farrelly of the Farrelly brothers, Elizabeth Banks, “Breaking Bad” actor Bob Odenkirk, Brett Ratner and James “Guardians of the Galaxy” Gunn.
