“Liam Hemsworth Get Sucked Into a World of Espionage In Paranoia
Based on the 2004 novel of the same name, Liam Hemsworth’s new movie Paranoia actually might not be instantly forgettable. The Hunger Games actor plays technology whizz Adam Cassidy who attempts to balance caring for his ailing father while working a low-paid job at a technology conglomerate. His fortunes begin to turn when his boss Nicholas Wyatt (Gary Oldman) offers him the chance to get rich quick.
Cassidy quickly learns that the job involves infiltrating the firm’s biggest rival business (led by his old mentor Jock Goddard) in a dangerous act of espionage. Despite completing the job, Adam’s resignation is refused – he now knows too much.
Of course there’s the obligatory topless shot of Liam Hemsworth in the trailer, the first look at Paranoia actually plays out quite well and promises an entertaining hour-and-a-half or so. It also boasts a classy supporting cast including the superb Richard Dreyfuss and Amber Heard, not to mention Harrison Ford.
Boasting a screenplay from Jason Deal Hall (Spread) and Barry Levy (Vantage Point) and direction from Killers’ Joseph Finder, Paranoia hits theaters in the US on August 16, 2013.”

Things look to go south, and the Hemsworth character is caught in the middle trying to dig his way out.
Hemsworth caught everyone’s eye with his small but pivotal role in “The Hunger Games” and is expected to have a larger part in the sequel “Catching Fire” when it bows in November. He came close to landing the role of John McClane’s son in “A Good Day to Die Hard” and even though he missed out on that, this film may help launch him into leading man status.
