Bradley Cooper stars in Silver Linings Playbook, a comedy film that revolves around the story of Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper) who lost everything. It seems that life keeps handing Pat a bunch of lemons and he doesn’t have enough time to make the most out of it. He lost his job, house and even his wife. He decides to move back with his mom (played by Jacki Weaver and father (Robert DeNiro). Pat even after these trying events decides to remain positive and to build his life all over again, starting with his wife. Pat’s parents on the other hand just want him to get back on his feet and share their passion with the Philadelphia Eagles. After awhile Pat meets a mysterious girl named Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) who has problems of her own. They decide to strike up a deal and Tiffany helps Pats reconnect with his wife and he ends up doing a favour for her. As these events occur the two will form an unexpected bond and the silver lining to their lives will soon play out. Silver Linings Playbook was shown early in 10 cities and it has earned great praise and acclaim from critics and audiences. Let’s take a look at a sneak peak on this new comedy movie: Silver Linings Playbook
“Silver Linings Playbook Earning Great Praise and Early Release In Cinemas
David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook has earned some tremendous pre-release praise as international film festivals, and there are many film nerds who are looking forward to seeing the Matthew Quick adaptation on the big screen for themselves. For everyone that fits that description and lives in or near a major city, I have some very good news.
Box Office Mojo has gotten word that Silver Linings Playbook has been moved up in 10 major markets and instead of being released on November 21st it will instead be in theaters November 16th. The Playlist says that the cities that will be getting the movie early include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Washington D.C., Miami, San Diego and Austin. Both release dates are pretty perilous, with Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, Red Dawn and the animated Rise of the Guardians going at Thanksgiving and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, a nationwide expansion of Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, and Joe Wright’s Anna Kareninaplaying next weekend, but it could be great counter-programming for those older audiences who don’t care for sparkly vampires. Also, considering the movie is being distributed by The Weinstein Company the change could very well be some kind of Oscar strategy.
Silver Linings Playbook tells the story of Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper), a man who has been in a mental institution for a few years following a nervous breakdown. Once released he tries to get his wife back, and in the process attracts the attention of a similarly mentally-affected young woman (Jennifer Lawrence). The cast also includes Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Chris Tucker, and Julia Stiles.”
