The Darkest Hour is directed by Chris Gorak who is known for his previous works like: Minority Report, Fight Club, The Man Who Wasn’t There and so much. Gorak is working in tandem with Jon Spaihts who wrote the screenplay of this new movie with the help of other writers: Leslie Bohem and M.T. Ahern. The main cast of The Darkest Hours consists of Emile Hirsch playing the character of Sean in the movie, Olivia Thirby as Natalie and Max Minghella as Ben. These actors are also joined by other actors: Rachael Taylor and Joel Kinnaman. The young adults try their best to wrap their heads around the situation that they are currently in. It seems that a harmless vacation in Moscow is now turning into a survival from the unseen aliens. The group of friends is led by Sean (Hirsch) who recognizes the fact that the aliens are here to devour Earth’s energy and killing all forms of life in the process. He leads the group to fight for their lives with the help of early warning signals that will indicate the alien’s presence near them. How they are going to survive this invasion and eventually save our only planet will give movie goers an instantaneous rush this holiday season.
