The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first movie of the three-picture adaption of the Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson. He then was offered a proposition by a wealthy Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer) who wanted him to solve the mystery in his family. Blomkvist is then brought in a world of mystery and danger as he tries to uncover secrets of the Vanger Family with the help of the young Lisbeth Salander (Mara).
This film is directed by David Fincher and is based it on the screen play by Steven Zaillian. The producer of the film Scott Rudin started developing the film under Columbia Pictures and in September 2010 the shooting began in Stockholm, Sweden. The production was then resumed at Sony Studio s and Paramount Studios in Los Angeles after. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer then became a co-financier in May 2011 and they decided to put up 20% of the film’s budget and they also got some international TV rights. This film will start hitting the big screen in the United States on December 21st 2011. There are not so many reviews yet for this film but according to Rotten Tomatoes 90% of the sites audience would like to see the movie.
