Looper is an upcoming Action/Adventure futuristic film set in the future where a new creation to time travel will be invented but is illegal. This new invention can only be acquired in the black market and when the mob decides to get rid of someone, they will be sending their target 30 years into the past. This is where a hired assassin or a “looper” Joe (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is waiting to do the job. Joe starts to get rich and enjoy a good life until one day when the mob decides to close the loop and to do this, they send Joe’s future self (played by Bruce Willis) in the past to be assassinated. Looper will surely bring together fans of science fiction and fantasy film into another ride that will take them at edge of their seats. So what else is new with this film? Let’s take a look at a couple of early news for the movie, Looper:
“What to Expect With the Movie: Looper
Rian Johnson’s sci-fi time travel actioner, LOOPER, has debuted a new international trailer today and it looks pretty damn sweet. If you were already excited to see the Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Bruce Willis pic, then this will simply amp you up a bit more.
Obviously, this features way more footage than we’ve seen before and a hell of a lot more story. It’s also the first time we’ve heard Willis speak. I think the dynamic between Gordon-Levitt and Willis playing the same character just at different points in time has the potential to be really cool.
Johnson seems to have crafted a fun, trippy sci-fi/action flick and it’s probably the first time I’ve been excited for a Bruce Willis movie in a long time. Plus, it’s great to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt get the chance to lead a film, which he’s more than proven in the last few years with some truly great roles.
Here’s the synopsis:
In the year 2042, a mob hitman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) assassinates targets that arrive from the future of 2072. For him it’s just a job… till he receives a new target: himself from the future (Bruce Willis).
LOOPER stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, Paul Dano, and Piper Parabo and is set for release on September 28, 2012.”

There is quite a lot of buzz when it comes to the Looper movie and to give our audiences a sneak peak, here’s an early review from i09
“Looper: An Early Review On This Upcoming Film
There hasn’t been a truly great time travel movie in quite some time, maybe sincePrimer. But we’ve got high hopes for Rian Johnson, the director of Brick, to create a cool new spin on the genre with his new film, Looper.
It’s been three years since we interviewed Johnson about Looper, and a year since we looked at early script pages. Now at last, an early cut of the film has had its first test screening.
A couple of sites, Ain’t It Cool News and Badass Digest, managed to attend.
And this early review of the movie only makes me more excited to see it, praising the performances by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, playing the same guy 30 years apart. In particular, it sounds as though Johnson has a well-thought-out sense of how time travel works, and he demonstrates it by showing the audience, rather than having long scenes where people discuss temporal mechanics. (In a nutshell, it sounds very much like Back to the Future— if you shoot someone, his/her future self will have an old bullet wound all of a sudden.) And writer Devin Faraci also praises Looper’s worldbuilding for the world of the 2040s, which is like our world with a handful of well-thought-out tweaks. Comparisons are made to Moon.”
