Dreamworks Animation is proud to present a new 3D animated film this July entitled “Turbo”. This new movie is about a garden snail named Turbo (played by Ryan Reynolds) who dreams of being the greatest racer in their world. His idol, Guy Gagne (Bill Hader) is the 5 time Indianapolis 500 champ. Turbo’s obsession with speed makes him an outsider in their snail community and seems to embarrass his older brother Chet (Paul Giamatti). Although, lady luck seems to be smiling on him when Turbo gets a chance to be the fastest snail due to a freak accident. Turbo is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 17th 2013. “Ryan Reynolds in Turbo
It’s funny to think back on the early days of Ryan Reynolds, when he was just the guy who’d pop up for brief parts in movies like Dick andHarold & Kumar, and the odd episode of Scrubs. Now, Reynolds is a bona fide headliner, starring in wacky comedies, romantic films, and superhero movies alike. But in his latest endeavor, Reynolds will test the waters of one genre that really defines an actor as a captain of the industry: snail movies. Below is the first trailer for the animated movieTurbo, which tacks Reynolds’ signature fast-talking, smarmy dialogue to a small, sweet-natured mollusk who dreams of being a high-speed racer.
In the classic underdog framework that does wonders with children’s movies, we see the titular Turbo embrace his passions in the new trailer below. He will not be weighed down by his bulky shell, sticky stomach, and lack of limbs. Turbo lives to go fast. And he’ll stop at nothing to make this dream come true, no matter how long it takes him, which will undoubtedly be quite a while. The dude takes 20 minutes just to crawl the length of a ruler.”

Here’s another news for this new animation:
“Turbo: No Dream is Too Big
Audiences love to root for courageous dreamers who pursue their goals when the odds are stacked firmly against them. It’s a tradition that has stood the test of time and one that has a powerful appeal for filmmaker David Soren, who tells the story of an unusual underdog – or under snail –in the animated 3Dfilm, “Turbo.”
Voiced by Ryan Reynolds, Turbo dreams of being fast, fast enough to compete against champions in one of the world’s toughest car races. Defying logic, physics, nature and critics (including his own brother) the small snail sets out on a thrilling adventure.
Director David Soren describes Turbo in the new movie from DreamWorks Animation, as the ultimate underdog’, for obvious reasons. “ Turbo is a snail and snails are constantly faced with challenges. They are smushed, salted and stepped on; they’re eaten in some parts of the world,” says Soren who set his story in Southern California where he lives with his family. The filmmaker became fascinated with the snails he observed in his own front yard. “Mother Nature has dealt them a bad hand,” he says. “When it seems impossible for a character to have any chance of success, that’s exactly what makes a great underdog story. And that’s what it is like for Turbo.”
