“I was jogging at the San Francisco Marina back in 1988 I think it was and I saw Robin Williams sitting in the side of his van just chillin’. I said, “How you doin’ Mr. Williams?” He said, “I’m doing great, you running from the cops?” I laughed and stopped to chat with him for about 5 minutes. He was absolutely delightful. Such a fond memory. I wept when I…
From 2005 to 2016, the pair we affectionately dubbed “Brangelina” were the most-talked-about couple in Hollywood. From their flawless looks to their Oscar-winning talent, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were thought to be the epitome of #RelationshipGoals.
But then the utterly unexpected happened just two years after the pair finally got hitched in 2014. Jolie filed for divorce and left us all wondering what it was that destroyed their once solid relationship. Unfortunately, Jolie tends to keep any discussion about her kids and her relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt entirely under wraps. So it is a rare event when she decides to open up about her personal life. Well, it turns out that she has decided to do just that in a recent podcast interview. You may know that Jolie has turned her hand to other projects including movie directing. One of the most recent movies that she worked on is First They Killed My Father which was released on Netflix last September. It turns out that the movie was pretty well received by the critics. So in a recent interview on The Hollywood Reporter‘s podcast Awards Chatter, she discussed the movie and a load of other juicy topics in great detail. Incredibly, Jolie even opened up about how her relationship with Brad Pitt broke down and contrary to what you may have thought, it had a little something to do with her double mastectomy amongst other things… Back in 2013, a then 37-year-old Angelina Jolie’s health problems were highly publicised. Her family has a history of breast cancer which really alarmed the mom-of-six, so she decided to get a double mastectomy to reduce her chances of developing the disease. Her own mother, Marcheline Bertrand, had breast cancer which she managed to fight, but, unfortunately, she later died from ovarian cancer. Jolie made the incredibly brave decision to undergo a preventive double mastectomy after finding out she had inherited the BRCA gene, a faulty gene which meant that she had an 87% chance of developing cancer. Just two years after the double mastectomy, doctors told Jolie that test results were showing signs of ovarian cancer in her system. As a result, she made the brave decision to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes surgically removed. At the time, it was reported that her husband, Brad Pitt, was nothing but supportive. However, we could never really know what was going on behind closed doors. According to the Maleficent actress, her health scares were putting an irrevocable strain on her marriage. “I’ve had many, many extraordinary very fortunate things happen and it’s also been many things over the years that had been challenging. So that wasn’t a particular time when I wrote it… I had my mastectomy right before I had Unbroken,” the actress revealed. “Over the span of that decade, I did lose my mother. I did have my mastectomy, and I did then have an ovarian cancer scare and have that surgery as well, and other things of course that happened in life that you go through.” In 2015, Jolie and Pitt worked together on the movie By The Sea in an attempt to “heal” their marriage which was threatening to break down. “A piece of art can be something that’s healing or something that’s difficult. I don’t know.” “I’m glad we did that film because we did explore something together,” she said. “Whatever it was maybe it didn’t solve certain things, but we did communicate something that needed to be communicated to each other.” “We had met working together and we worked together well… I wanted us to do some serious work together… I thought it would be a good way for us to communicate. In some ways it was, and in some ways, we learned some things.” “But there was a heaviness probably during that situation that carried on and it wasn’t because of the [movie]. It was something that we were dealing… things happen for different reasons, and things… why did I write that exact piece? Why did we feel that way when we made it? I’m not sure.” Needless to say, Angelina Jolie has gone through a tough few years. Fearing for your health when you have young children must be incredibly difficult – especially if that ultimately leads to the breakdown of your marriage Unfortunately, anyone who knows anything about Jolie’s early life will be aware that she has had to contend with a great deal of emotional pain and numerous setbacks throughout her life. Check out her story in the video below: We wish Jolie, her children and, of course, Brad Pitt the best of luck for their future health and happiness.
Alison Brie just told a hilarious story about attempting a backflip at Donald Glover’s apartment
While they were filming Community together, Alison Brie used to hang out with co-star Donald Glover, despite the fact that he was – in her own words – “much cooler” than her.
Brie was a guest on The Late Late Show, where she told a story about a time she was at a party at Glover’s apartment and attempted to do a backflip and ended up breaking a lamp. Oops.
“I decided to just yell out, ‘hey everyone, watch this!'” Brie said. “I might have been a little drunk.”
We’ve all been there, Alison.
John Legend just achieved EGOT status, the youngest ever to do so
John Legend, winner of the award for outstanding variety special.
“John Legend has made history as the youngest person ever to achieve that sweet, sweet coveted EGOT status.
That’s someone who has received the big four, the holy grail of performance accolades: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards.
Legend, 39, completed the acronym at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, as did Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, all for producing best variety special winner Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.
He’s also the first black man to land EGOT status, making history in more ways than one.
Legend also played the role of Jesus in NBC’s production of the 1970 concept album-turned-Broadway musical, so he’s also up for the Emmy for outstanding actor in a limited series or movie, which will be revealed at the big primetime Emmy Awards on Monday.
“Before tonight, only 12 people had won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony in competitive categories,” wrote Legend on Instagram……………………..”
20+ People That Were Surprised At How Nice These Celebrities Were In Real Life

“Jim Carrey gave me a ride to the gas station after my car ran out of gas in Bel Aire. I told him I was a huge fan of Ace Ventura and I could mimic his laugh from the movie. Then we both had our heads out the window cackling away. He bought my gas and drove me back to my car. One of the greatest moments in my life.”
“Keanu Reeves. I remember seeing him while walking through New York a long time ago when I was a young, probably very annoying pre-teen. I yelled out, “Yo, Neo!” And then I obnoxiously mimicked the bullet dodge motion from The Matrix. He looked back at me, laughed, and mirrored the same move in acknowledgement. It’s such a great memory because I feel like anyone would have been justified in getting annoyed…

I’ll never forget it.”

When it was his turn to check out while they were ringing up his stuff he said “oh let me get that water for you” and paid for my water. He kept talking to me and then we walked out and he said “nice talking to you! You’re a very nice young lady and always remember… life is like a box of chocolates.. you never know what your gonna get” in his Forest Gump voice. IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER.
