HBO has released the first teaser for Fahrenheit 451, a film based off the Ray Bradbury novel and starring Michael B. Jordan as a rebel in a dystopia that burns books.

Like other dystopic narratives – did you not watch The Handmaid’s Tale? – Fahrenheit 451 feels uncomfortably close to reality in 2018 (see also: the Trump administration blustering about censorship and “fire and fury”).

HBO debuted the teaser Thursday for the Television Critics Association. It’s full of slow-motion takes and images of fire that make everything else seem much darker in contrast.

Along with Jordan, the film will star Michael Shannon as its antagonist (naturally), Sofia Boutella, and YouTuber Lilly Singh.

“I have always loved Ray Bradbury’s prophetic novel Fahrenheit 451,” writer-director Ramin Bahrani said in a press release from HBO. “Two years ago, as I looked at the world around me, it seemed like the ideal time to do a modern interpretation. I am grateful to HBO for helping me bring my vision of the film to audiences with this incredible cast.”

The film does not have a release date yet but is expected to debut in spring.

Does the world really need a new version of Dumbo? Hard to say. What we do know for sure is that it’s awfully hard to say no to that face, which looks somehow even more heart-meltingly adorable in “live-action” (i.e., realistic-looking animation).

If you’re already invested in his journey, mark the date on your calendar: Dumbo arrives in theaters March 29, 2019.

“Disney debuted a world’s first look at Toy Story 4 on Monday… and then watched as the teaser’s thunder was immediately stolen when the first, absolutely stunning Pokémon Detective Pikachu trailer dropped.

Now, one day later, it’s take two for Disney. Here’s another look at Toy Story 4, a “teaser reaction” teaser featuring a pair of new characters voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. Their fourth wall-breaking excitement for Toy Story 4‘s “new movie trailer” is hilariously ironic given the splash Detective Pikachu made.

Toy Story 4 hits theaters on June 21, 2019 and it’ll probably be great. This is Pixar’s brand-making franchise, after all; its lineup of beloved characters have become pop culture staples. It’s just funny to see another trailer drop so soon; you have to wonder if it’s because Disney wasn’t happy with Monday’s stolen thunder.”

Glass – TV Spot Trailer

M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass.

From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Joining the all-star cast are Unbreakable’s Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother, as well as Golden Globe Award winner Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story series).

In Theaters January 18, 2019
