From the teams behind Get Out, Insidious, and Udta Punjabcomes Netflix’s first original Indian horror series, Ghoul. And it looks pretty damn terrifying.

Having dropped its first trailer on Tuesday, Ghoul follows a new prisoner at a remote military interrogation centre, who turns the tables on interrogators by dredging up some secrets and starting some demonic-looking business along the way.

Netflix’s first venture into horror in India, Ghoul lands on the platform on August 24 for all users, in 190 countries. It was produced by Phantom Films, Ivanhoe and Blumhouse, and stars Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul.

Phantom Films has already worked with Netflix on the platform’s first original Indian series, Sacred Games, which delves into Mumbai’s underbelly, and was shot in the country in both Hindi and English.
